TikTok has debuted AI Alive, its first image-to-video feature, letting users turn static photos into short videos directly in TikTok Stories. The feature introduces AI-powered animation effects for more dynamic storytelling.
The Details:
AI Alive is available through the Story Camera and animates static images with movement and ambient effects.
Users can turn photos of skies, oceans, or people into short videos that include realistic sound and motion.
Each AI-generated video is labeled as such and includes C2PA metadata to ensure transparency.
TikTok scans the uploaded image, text prompt, and final output for policy violations before showing the video to the creator.
To try it, open Story Camera, upload a photo, and tap the AI Alive icon on the photo editing screen.

In a major AI expansion move, Nvidia and AMD will supply chips for Humain, Saudi Arabia’s new AI firm, under a Trump administration-backed initiative that lifts certain export restrictions. The $10B project aims to turn the Gulf nation into a powerhouse for AI data infrastructure.
The Details:
Nvidia and AMD will power Humain’s 1.9 GW of data centers, set to be built by 2030.
Nvidia will deploy 18,000 Grace Blackwell chips in the first phase and expand to hundreds of thousands over 5 years.
AMD will provide chips and software for data centers spanning Saudi Arabia and the US.
Humain will develop Arabic-language large models and local AI infrastructure.
The initiative aligns with Saudi mandates to localize data storage and mirrors Amazon, Google, and Oracle’s ongoing expansions in the region.
