Perplexity AI is officially entering the smartphone space. The company announced a partnership with Motorola, integrating its AI-powered answer engine directly into Motorolaâs âMoto AIâ suite â making Motorola the first smartphone brand to embed Perplexityâs technology natively.
The Details:
Perplexityâs AI search will come preloaded on Motorola devices alongside Google Gemini, Microsoft Copilot, and Meta AI tools.
Motorola users will receive 3 months free of Perplexity Pro, including Deep Research capabilities.
The partnership focuses on user growth, not revenue sharing. âWeâre looking for usage, and theyâre looking for cool features,â said Perplexity CEO Aravind Srinivas.
This follows similar AI integrations, like OpenAIâs partnership with Apple for Siri enhancements.
Perplexity aims to make AI a seamless part of smartphone habits, especially for casual, everyday use.

The Details:
Recall: A searchable âphotographic memoryâ for your PC that captures snapshots of your activity to help retrieve files, settings, and content. Itâs opt-in, processed locally, encrypted, and requires Windows Hello for access. Users can fully disable or remove it.
AI-Powered Windows Search: Lets users find files by describing them in natural language instead of remembering exact names. Microsoft claims it speeds up file retrieval by 70% compared to traditional search.
Click to Do: Offers context-aware actions like summarizing text, editing images, or launching web searches by selecting on-screen content. AI processes this locally and activates only when triggered.
