Midjourney has officially entered the AI video race. The company launched V1, its long-awaited image-to-video model that generates 5-second videos from still images. This is a big move for a company that’s already a leader in AI-generated visuals.
The Details:
V1 is available only via Discord and currently limited to web users
It generates four 5-second videos from any input image, with options to extend up to 21 seconds
V1 supports random or custom animations, plus motion controls
Pricing starts at $10/month, but video generations cost 8x more than image outputs
Pro and Mega plan users get unlimited videos in Relax mode

OpenAI is officially ending its partnership with Scale AI, just days after Meta announced a multibillion-dollar investment in the startup.

OpenAI confirmed it is winding down its collaboration with Scale AI and shifting to new data providers for more specialized needs.
The timing comes just after Meta invested heavily in Scale AI and onboarded its CEO Alexandr Wang, sparking concerns over neutrality.
Sarah Friar, OpenAI’s CFO, had previously suggested the partnership would continue, but OpenAI now appears to be moving in a different direction.
Google is also reportedly considering dropping Scale AI as a vendor, indicating a broader industry shift away from the company.

Google has launched Search Live, a voice-first feature that turns traditional search into a dynamic spoken conversation using Gemini AI.
The Details:
Search Live is now available for Android and iOS users in the US who have joined the AI Mode experiment in Labs.
Users can tap the new “Live” icon in the Google app to start a voice interaction, receiving spoken responses and web links on screen.
The system supports follow-up questions, allowing natural, back-and-forth dialogue without restarting a search.
A transcript option lets users view text versions of the answers and seamlessly switch between voice and typing.
