META

Meta has introduced Muse Code, its first AI coding agent, powered by the new Muse Spark 1.2 model.

The agent can plan changes, write code, debug, run tests, and work across large codebases from the terminal.

The key detail: Muse Code can launch parallel sub-agents in isolated worktrees, letting multiple parts of a project move at the same time without touching the main branch.

Meta says the system can handle engineering tasks lasting up to 24 hours and requiring more than 1,000 tool calls.

Why it matters:

AI coding tools are moving from autocomplete to autonomous software work. Meta is entering the race with an agent built for longer, more complex engineering tasks.

Worth checking if you’re using AI to save time at work:

Write docs 4x faster. Without hating every second.

Nobody became a developer to write documentation. But the docs still need to get written β€” PRDs, README updates, architecture decisions, onboarding guides.

Wispr Flow lets you talk through it instead. Speak naturally about what the code does, how it works, and why you built it that way. Flow formats everything into clean, professional text you can paste into Notion, Confluence, or GitHub.

Used by engineering teams at OpenAI, Vercel, and Clay. 89% of messages sent with zero edits. Works system-wide on Mac, Windows, and iPhone.

ANTHROPIC

Anthropic is building an in-house silicon team to design custom AI chips optimized for Claude.

The company is hiring across chip architecture, design, verification, hardware, and software.

Anthropic says it will still use chips from NVIDIA, AMD, Google, and AWS, but custom silicon could give it more control over speed, cost, and supply.

Reports suggest Anthropic has also discussed manufacturing options with Samsung, though no launch timeline has been confirmed.

Why it matters:

Compute is one of the biggest costs and bottlenecks for frontier AI companies. Designing hardware specifically for Claude could eventually give Anthropic lower inference costs, greater chip supply control, and tighter integration between its models and the infrastructure running them.

ALPHABET

Alphabet is moving Demis Hassabis into a broader role as Chief Scientist of Alphabet and Chair of Google DeepMind.

He will focus more on AGI, scientific research, and long-term AI strategy across Alphabet.

Koray Kavukcuoglu, DeepMind’s CTO and Google’s Chief AI Architect, will take on day-to-day leadership of Google DeepMind’s core AI work.

Why it matters:

Google is separating long-term AI research from product execution. Hassabis gets more room to focus on the future, while Kavukcuoglu takes direct control of Gemini and model development.
