Google unveiled the new Google Home Speaker, the first speaker specifically designed for Gemini for Home. 

The device costs $99.99, with preorders open now and shipping starting June 25. 

Gemini can handle natural conversations, follow-up questions, and multiple commands in a single request. 

The speaker features 360-degree audio, a larger driver, and significantly stronger bass than earlier Google speakers. 

It doubles as a smart home hub with support for Matter, Thread, and Google Home devices. 

Users can pair two speakers together or connect them with Google TV devices for a home theater setup. 

Early buyers receive six months of Google Home Premium, which unlocks Gemini Live and advanced AI home features.  

Altman is backing Alfred, a robotics startup developing software for robots, autonomous vehicles, and industrial systems 

The company has recruited engineers from Tesla, Meta, Ford, Honda, and other hardware-focused firms
