LATEST AI NEWS
ANTHROPIC
Anthropic has introduced Claude Tag, a new AI teammate for Slack that lets teams collaborate with Claude directly inside shared conversations instead of using separate chat windows.
The Details:
Users can simply type @Claude in any Slack thread to assign tasks, ask questions, or get summaries without leaving Slack.
Claude Tag maintains persistent context for each channel, so it remembers past conversations and ongoing work over time.
The AI can proactively surface important updates, break down tasks, and follow up on unfinished work without being explicitly prompted.
Workspace admins can control exactly which channels, tools, and data Claude can access, with separate permissions and memory for different teams.
Anthropic says Claude Tag replaces the existing Claude Slack app and is available in beta for Claude Enterprise and Team customers.
The company plans to expand Claude Tag beyond Slack to additional workplace platforms in the coming weeks.
Why it matters:
Anthropic is moving beyond personal AI assistants to shared workplace AI. Instead of every employee chatting with their own bot, Claude Tag becomes a collaborative teammate that works alongside entire teams inside their existing workflows.
OPENAI
OpenAI has expanded its Daybreak cybersecurity initiative, introducing new AI models and tools that can automatically find, validate, and help fix software vulnerabilities.
The Details:
OpenAI launched GPT-5.5-Cyber, its most capable cybersecurity model for authorized defensive security work.
The model can detect vulnerabilities, generate patches, validate fixes, and prepare evidence for human security teams.
OpenAI also introduced a Codex Security plugin that brings AI-powered vulnerability scanning directly into developer workflows.
A new Cyber Partner Program lets approved security companies integrate GPT-5.5-Cyber into their own products.
Through its Patch the Planet initiative, OpenAI is helping secure more than 30 open-source projects by identifying and fixing vulnerabilities.
OpenAI is working with governments and cybersecurity organizations worldwide to strengthen critical infrastructure and software security.
Why it matters:
Cybersecurity is shifting from manual response to AI-driven defense. Instead of only finding bugs, AI can now help discover, verify, and patch vulnerabilities at machine speed, dramatically reducing the time it takes to secure software.
Your prompts are leaving out 80% of what you're thinking.
When you type a prompt, you summarize. When you speak one, you explain. Wispr Flow captures your full reasoning — constraints, edge cases, examples, tone — and turns it into clean, structured text you paste into ChatGPT, Claude, or any AI tool. The difference shows up immediately. More context in, fewer follow-ups out.
89% of messages sent with zero edits. Used by teams at OpenAI, Vercel, and Clay. Try Wispr Flow free — works on Mac, Windows, and iPhone.
Google has introduced a new AI Agent API, giving developers a standardized way to build, deploy, and connect autonomous AI agents across applications and services.
The Details:
The new API helps developers build AI agents that can plan, reason, use tools, and complete multi-step tasks.
It integrates with Gemini models, allowing agents to access Google’s latest reasoning capabilities.
Developers can connect agents to external tools, APIs, databases, and enterprise systems through a unified interface.
The API supports persistent memory, tool calling, and multi-agent workflows for more complex applications.
Google says the platform is designed for enterprise use cases including customer support, research, software development, and business automation.
The launch complements Google’s broader agent ecosystem, including Gemini, Vertex AI, and the Agent2Agent (A2A) protocol.
The API is available through Google Cloud for developers building production AI applications.
Why it matters:
The AI race is shifting from chatbots to autonomous agents. With its new Agent API, Google is giving developers the building blocks to create AI systems that don’t just answer questions but can take actions and complete real work.
