The New York Times has entered a multi-year agreement with Amazon, granting access to its editorial content across Amazon’s growing range of AI-powered products and services.

The deal allows Amazon to use real-time summaries and excerpts from NYT, The Athletic, and NYT Cooking in tools like Alexa.

Germany-based Black Forest Labs just launched a new family of image-generation models, Flux.1 Kontext, pushing the boundaries of speed, realism, and prompt accuracy in the crowded AI art race.

The Details:

Flux.1 Kontext includes two models: [pro], for multi-turn editing with style retention, and [max], focused on speed and precision.
Both models accept text prompts and optional reference images, generating photorealistic outputs with fast inference speeds.
A third variant, Flux.1 Kontext [dev], will be available for research and safety testing via private beta.
Unlike earlier models, [pro] and [max] aren’t downloadable, but a playground is live for anyone to test — no third-party sign-up required.
New users receive 200 credits, enough to generate about 12 images, while investors and founders include names from Stability AI and Andreessen Horowitz.
